At La Entrada, we believe that young adulthood is a unique and transformative season of life. It’s a time of exploration, growth, and building lasting connections. Our Young Adult Group is a vibrant community within our church that is specifically designed to support and empower individuals between the ages of 18 and 35. Whether you’re a college student, a young professional, or somewhere in between, you’ll find a place to belong here.
Our vision for the Young Adults is...
- That they come to flourish both in their spiritual lives, as well as in the other components of their lives—social, intellectual, emotional and physical components–and that they become future spiritual leaders; examples for future generations.
- The they have compassionate hearts to intercede for the needs of others, in the same way that Jesus is interceding for us in heaven.
Empowered SUMMIT
The National Hispanic District of Foursquare Church hosts Empowered Summit each year, which brings together young adults ages 18-35 from all over the nation to grow in community. The goal is to equip Young Adults as they make important life decisions. At the event, Young Adults have the opportunity to go through a self-discovery process, gain practical ministry experience in the community and hear from the Lord through some powerful times of worship and prayer.
OUR YA LEADERS
Gateway Young Adults is led by Elmer and Mariana, who lead by example in their commitment to serving Jesus and their local community. They are passionate about walking alongside young adults as they navigate their faith, careers, relationships, and life’s big questions and decisions. Whether you’re looking for a deep conversation, wisdom in spiritual guidance, or simply a place to belong, our leaders are here for you.
Mariana, who has been a worship leader since 2013, leads our team at Iglesia La Entrada, and Elmer also leads our church’s media and creative department. They have also recently stepped into the role of the Young Adult Regional Reps for Foursquare National Hispanic District West-North region. Outside of the church, Elmer is a local branch manager at one of the nation’s largest banks, and Mariana is a 7th year school psychologist in town. They’ve been married for over 4 years, and enjoy attending sporting events, are regulars at Disneyland, and enjoy spending time at home together.
